Job Advert - Division Information

Priory Education and Children’s Services is a leading company in the UK offering independent behavioural care for commissioners across the UK.

Job Advert Location Description

With over 100 high quality schools, colleges and homes we focus on making a real and lasting difference for everyone we support.

Job Advert Role Description

Priory College South Wales is an independent, specialist co-educational college for young adults aged 16 to 25 with Asperger's syndrome, autistic spectrum disorders and associated conditions based at Pontypool. The college was set up in partnership with Coleg Gwent, the largest further education college in Wales, to meet the academic, social and emotional needs of our young people.

Priory Coleg Wales is looking to employ a proactive, confident and enthusiastic Learner Support Worker to join our team on a bank staff basis.

Duties will include working with learners in the college environment, offering support with academic work and building on independence/employability skills through our ILS (Independent Living Skills) Programme.

This is a bank staff contract and a certain degree of flexibility is essential as hours are based around the learners’ timetable and learners may be based in different colleges.

It would be preferable but not essential if applicants had previous experience of working with students with special educational needs and Autistic Spectrum Conditions.

Staff may be required to work outside term time if training is required.

Shift pattern: 9:00am to 16:00pm weekdays as and when required.
