Job Advert Location Description

Hazelwood House is a low secure unit for men with a learning disability, including those with co-morbid diagnoses such as personality disorders, mental illness and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

It is a well-established service in the Midlands that works with patients with learning disabilities to reduce their risk, build and consolidate core skills, and develop relapse prevention strategies. Hazelwood House focuses on real world settings to enable patients to develop skills for supported or independent living in the community. Patients are supported to develop and maintain life skills through person centred interventions and practical sessions to live as independently as possible.

Job Advert Role Description


  • To clean designated areas to the highest possible standard
  • To disinfect and sanitise relevant areas
  • To take note of any defects of the furniture and equipment, reporting them to the Hotel Services Manager and Maintenance Department
  • To ensure that all equipment and cleaning materials are used in accordance with the manufacturers instructions
  • To ensure the correct and economical use of materials and equipment
  • To be aware of all emergency procedures
  • To ensure that all cleaning tasks are achieved around the needs of patients
  • To work in close liason with the Hotel Services Manager and care staff ensuring positive work interaction when patients are in the ward
  • To ensure that in conjunction with other members of staff that good communications with clients, relatives and other visitors are maintained
