Are you a caring and creative person who is passionate about making a real difference to someone’s life?

We are currently looking for a Support Worker / Care Assistant to provide care and support for individuals with learning disabilities and autism at Priory Adult Care’s Eastleigh House in Teignmouth.

Support Worker duties:

  • Be interested in supporting someone with Autism and associated needs and have a passion to help them reach their potential and lead an active and fulfilling life. 
  • Be reliable and flexible and enjoy your role.
  • Work as part of a team and support your colleagues.
  • Join in activities including swimming, walking, cooking, garden games, messy play and music and much more.
  • Support people to access the community and use public transport on a daily basis, to encourage others be play an active part in the community.
  • Be motivated, creative and positive, with a passion for seeing people grow and develop. 
  • Be prepared to communicate differently with a wide range of people
  • Use initiative and common sense to ensure every person has the best experience with us.
  • Keep records and write reports when required.
  • Ensure the highest level of safety and safeguarding at all times.
  • Have fun!

Experience would be an advantage but not essential as full training and support will be provided, it would be an added bonus if you are able to drive as this will further your opportunities supporting people using our company cars.
