Cleveland House is a 32-bedded care home for men and women with a learning disability or acquired brain injury. We provide ongoing maintenance therapies for longer stay patients in need of long-term care and support.

This facility has four separate specialist service areas for people who may have a variety of physical disabilities as well as either acquired brain injury, learning disability, or mental illness associated with conditions such as epilepsy or sensory impairment.

Within the complex, two specialised areas are dedicated to people with acquired brain injury or progressive neurological conditions, including those with long-term physical disability.

Job Advert Role Description

We are currently looking to recruit a highly motivated Senior Healthcare Assistant who has experience of providing practical and/or emotional support to adults with mental health problems, learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge.

 

You will be required to:

 

Provide excellent standards of person-centred support to the people who use our service, maintaining the highest levels of privacy and respect, enabling them to lead as independent lives as possible and realise their potential.

 

Ensure that the people who use our service have any personal needs or requirements met; including personal care, participation in activities and support with daily living tasks.

 

To support people who use our service in achieving their outcomes in the way that they choose.

 

Complete daily administration including updating person-centred support & care plans, updating charts and completing accurate daily notes.

 

Through own professional behaviour, including adhering to policies and procedures, contributes to the maintenance of safety, security and confidentiality standards.

 

To undertake keyworking responsibility for individual service users, supporting the individual to plan goals and personal outcomes and ensure that these are comprehensively documented and reviewed.

 

Prior experience of working in a setting relevant to the service is required.

You will also be required to manage and lead a team of Healthcare Assistants through regular supervision and mentoring ensuring that a high standard of care is maintained.

Computer skills required to support the management team in completion with client reports for meetings.
