Job Advert Location Description

Our service is based on the Norfolk/Suffolk border and provides a range of assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and specialist residential services to over 90 adults with a learning disability in a range of different environments suited to their individual needs including medium, low secure and rehabilitation.

In addition to a learning disability, many of our patients have complex needs including forensic histories, mental illness, ASC and Personality Disorders.  Most patients are detained under the Mental Health Act 1983.

 

Job Advert Role Description

Our Security Administrator will:-

Provide a full Reception and Administration Service at St John’s House Medium Secure unit. This service is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and so the role will involve shift working to include nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Be responsible for greeting all visitors, contractors and staff to the hospital; manage all access and egress to the secure areas of the hospital including the management of all security related equipment.

Be responsible for answering and transferring all telephone calls to the hospital.

 

To be successful as Security Administrator, you'll need:

Ideally, but not essential, as full training will be given:

Experience in a similar environment; IT skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Good communication skills; the ability to work on own initiative as well being part of a team. You will also need the abiilty to work accurately and pay attention to detail even when under pressure, together with being able to prolem solve, prioritise and manage time.
