Job Advert Location Description

Set back within 1.5 acres of landscaped gardens, the tranquil environment of the Priory Hospital Southampton offers therapeutic and recovery focused residential treatment as well as day care and outpatient services. The hospital also provides a specialist inpatient service for children and adolescents.

Priory Hospital Southampton provides 40 beds across 3 wards.  The  services provided at the hospital include Addictions Treatment, young peoples ward (CAMHs) and treatment of most psychiatric conditions and Eating Disorders.

We have a highly experienced team of mental health professionals and support staff, which include consultant psychiatrists, psychologists, OT, nurses and therapists

Job Advert Role Description

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Dietician to work  in our Eating Disorder Unit.  You will work as part of our multi disciplinary team ensuring the wellbeing and care of patients.

Your role will involve the development, implementation and evaluation of dietary and nutritional plans designed to promote the physical wellbeing of patients within the hospital as well as delivering theoretical and practical sessions to patients. 

You will be a flexible, enthusiastic and self motivated qualified Dietician and experience of working in a similar setting is essential. 

You will form part of a multi disciplinary team and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a good understanding of the care programme approach and risk assessment.

Reporting and documentation experience is ideal along with  experience of holding group sessions.

Must have Senior dietician 1 and have Mental Health EDU experience
