Job Advert Role Description

Are you an enthusiastic individual looking for a new challenge, here at Loughshore we are looking for a creative activities co-ordinator to join our team. Loughshore House is a purpose built Service supporting adults with Learning Disabilities who require assistance and care. The homely and comfortable environment, finished to a high standard, enables us to provide person centred care tailored to the needs of our residents.

As activities co-ordinator you will look to create, plan and organise interesting and varied program of daily activities, entertainment and events promoting well being of the residents, Duties may include

  • Liase with external companies to organise events.
  • Listening to residents through conversation and questionnaires to aid producing a popular programme of events.
  • Develop a rapport with the local community churches, schools, gyms etc..
  • Work alongside support staff, coordinating visits eg (Chiropody etc)
  • Organise raffles and fundraising events for residents and home.

We are looking for a cheerful, outgoing and passionate individual with creative flare. The ideal person should be organised and have some experience in the care sector, being able to understand the needs of residents aiding activity choices. No experience is required as activities Co-Ordinator, but a positive and enthusiastic attitude is a must.
