Job Advert Role Description

Are you a caring and creative person who is passionate about making a real difference to someone’s life?

We are currently looking for a Support Worker to provide care and support for individuals at Priory Adult Care’s Long Lane Farm, on the outskirts of Preston. Long Lane Farm is a full time residential care home for adults with severe learning disabilities, Autism, communication difficulties, challenging behaviour Prada-Willi Syndrome and other complex needs. Located with accessible links to motorways and public transport.

Both personal care and participation in activities are key parts of the Support Worker role, so energy, excellent communication and organisational skills are vital. We are looking for the right people to make the right difference. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn as a full training package is available.

As a support worker you will be supporting the people living at Long Lane Farm with all aspects of their lives, including personal care, accessing the community and developing independent living skills.

Previous experience as a Support Worker or Care Assistant would be beneficial, however it is not essential; all we ask is that you have a willingness to learn and the compassion to care for the people we support.

Support Worker benefits include:

  • A competitive salary
  • Enhanced disclosure cost coverage
  • Comprehensive induction and commitment to on-going training
  • 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
  • Online benefits and cashback rewards
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • SMART childcare vouchers
  • SMART pension option
