Our five bedrooms are personalised by those people in our service to make York Road feel very much their home. Outside is a garden where we host plenty of barbeques in the summer months and a large trampoline which is used regularly. There is also private transport available which is used for day trips and other off site activities

Senior Support Worker

Priory Adult Care is currently looking for an enthusiastic Senior Support Workers to join our facility based on the outskirts of Southport-Birkdale. York Road provides specialist residential support for five young adults with varying learning disabilities, communication difficulties and autism. The role of Senior Support Worker will be both varied and rewarding. Your duties will include: carrying out medication rounds, planning and attending activities, personal care, supervisions and management of support teams and key holder responsibilities. There will also be involvement around staffing; coaching and mentoring of current staff, inducting and training of new starters and shift planning.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years’ experience working within a similar role and have obtained NVQ level 2. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop further; the Priory group can offer further NVQ qualifications to management level (Level 5), a full mandatory training program, including medication training if required. The role comes with structured careers pathway and opportunity to progress not only within the role at York Road but within Priory Adult Care group as well.
