Job Advert Role Description

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Psychologist for our residential unit which provide rehabilitation for adults with an acquired brain injury.

The post involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team, under the supervision of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, conducting structured psychological assessments and formulating/implementing management programmes. The role also involves assisting with training and undertaking training when required.

Applicants are expected to hold a BPS approved degree in Psychology (upper second or first class) and be working towards gaining clinical training.

Experience of working with service users diagnosed with acquired brain injury and challenging behaviour would be an advantage as would experience of neuropsychological assessment.

The successful candidates would need to have excellent interpersonal and team working skills, be able to manage his/her own time, be self-motivated and flexible. A full driving licence is advantageous and the ability to meet the travel requirements of the position is essential.
