Priory Education and Children’s Services is a leading company in the UK offering independent behavioural care for vulnerable young people across the UK.

Our ambitious and energetic colleagues help make our company what it is and we are looking for more people who have got what it takes.

The environments we work in can be challenging so the people that join us need to have a passion for the work we do and be strong role models for the young people we support.

Because we want you to get off to the best start with us we are giving you an extra £250 to you when you first start with us, and then  in 6 months’ time, when you pass your probation, we will give you another £250 for your hard work.

Where you’ll be working

Rated “Outstanding” by Ofsted, our Children’s Home is situated between March and Peterborough in North Cambridgeshire. It’s a 5 bedded therapeutic unit for males aged 11-18 with SEBD. The home seeks to provide a safe and understanding ethos in which the young person can be assisted to address their behaviours and to take responsibility for their own actions. The emphasis of the work is by way of intervention and to challenge the inappropriate behaviour through a holistic therapeutic approach.

Our Support Worker roles in March offer a salary of: £9.55 - £10.54 (£18,426 - £20,344 per annum) & up to £2,750 sleep-in allowance.

Duties

  • Assist senior staff with the writing and maintaining of placement and risk management plans
  • Support young people in daily activities including family contact, attending local clubs, 1:1 activities in the community, promoting independence and social behaviour
  • You will be assigned a key child and play a pivotal role in their day to day life including attending reviews and liaising with external agencies
