Oliver House School is an independent specialist day and residential school for boys and girls aged 6 to 19 who have mild, moderate and severe autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex learning needs and challenging behaviour.

Our aim is to bring about the best in every young person to enable them to achieve positive experiences and progress according to their own individual abilities. The desired outcome is for young people to achieve success in accredited qualifications and to gain increased levels of independence to enable them to maximise their strengths, abilities and ambitions.

We are looking for a Psychology Graduate, or equivalent, with a minimum of 1 year’s experience working within Autism & Learning Disability. You will be an observant, analytical individual with a caring attitude and a desire to improve the outcomes for our young people.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to assist our qualified Behavioural Analyst in the writing and review of positive behaviour support plans. There will also be the opportunities for you to learn and gain valuable experience working closely with other professionals from our multi disciplinary team. The work will also involve applying methods and performing assessments to establish the needs of our young people, monitoring progress, carrying out observations and keeping statistical records.

We are looking for a graduate who possesses excellent communication skills and has the ability to convey sensitive information to our young people, their families and other professionals. You will possess excellent time management skills, be self-motivated, with the ability to organise and prioritise your work to meet deadlines within the department.

As the Assistant Behavioural Analayst you will be working with up to 60 young people who have autism, learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. You will be based at Oliver House School and will be required to work across two specialist ASD schools and offer support to our residential provisions in the Chorley and Preston area. Your approach to your working hours will need to be flexible on occasions, to meet the needs of the young people, when required.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to learn, work closely with our young people and with our team of qualified professionals.  Full training and support will be provided so that you can work towards meeting the needs of this exciting new role at Oliver House School.
