Job Advert Role Description

Okus house is a residential home within Priory College Swindon which provides residential placements for students with specific social and communication difficulties, particularly autism and Asperger Syndrome, including co-morbid conditions. The home has a clear focus on providing education and improving employability and employment outcomes for young people aged 16 to 25 years old.

We recognise that every young person in our care is unique so we build personalised learning and care programmes around individual needs that combine education, therapy, independence skills, social skills training and care.

Okus house is a 52 week home which provides 24 hour care for four service users.

The college is located in a large, vibrant town, which allows our students to access a wide range of facilities and amenities. The local Swindon mainline railway station has direct links to London Paddington, as well as a number of other nearby cities, including Bath, Bristol and Cardiff. A nearby coach station and good links to the M4 motorway ensures Priory College Swindon is easily accessible.

There are multiple roles available, FULL-TIME, PART-TIME, BANK, & NIGHT SHIFTS covering both 38 weeks per year term time, and 52 weeks per year, and we will discuss these options with you at interview stage. Staff will be expected to work day, evening and weekend shifts.
