Job Advert Role Description

Priory Education and Children’s Services is a leading company in the UK offering independent behavioural care for commissioners across the UK. With over 100 high quality schools, colleges and homes we focus on making a real and lasting difference for everyone we support.

We have an exciting opportunity for a new Regional HR Advisor working in the Priory Education and Children’s Services Division.  The role will be based in our Leicester Office supporting primarily the South and Central regions of the Company.

The Regional HR Advisor will provide guidance, support and coaching to operational managers in the region with regards to day to day employee matters that arise, HR policy and procedure. The successful candidate will liaise with, and build robust relationships with Site Leaders and site based HR colleagues across the region to create consistency.

This is a divisional role, working I within the regions and will require travel within the region as and when required.


  • Establish close relationships with Site Leaders and HR colleagues within the region.
  • Be the first point of contact for Employee Relations (ER) queries for managers in the region; provide advice in a coaching manner to ensure managers are empowered to make future decisions based on knowledge gained.
  • Support sites on complex cases including attending hearings, investigation meetings, appeals as appropriate and liaise with HR Business Partner on complex issues to ensure consistency.
  • Work under the direction of the HR Business Partner on the design and delivery of workshops and training for Site Leaders and HR colleagues within the region on Employee Relations casework and HR Policy and Procedures.

Experience & Skills

  • Suitable HR experience
  • Experience as an Advisor in a single site, regional experience a plus
  • Strong customer focused attitude
  • Organised & Ability to prioritise
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Influencing and relationship building
  • Forward thinking, proactive and creative
  • The ability to deal with multiple issues simultaneously in a highly dynamic environment.
  • A driving license and access to a car
