Job Advert Role Description

Talocher School is an independent, specialist residential school for girls and boys aged 11 to 18 with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties (BESD) and associated complex needs. The school provides a warm, welcoming and relaxed environment for young people who are resident within Priory residential childcare facilities or as day pupils, who are unable to attend mainstream education because of their behavioural, emotional and social difficulties. 

Priory Talocher School are currently looking for a part-time Housekeeper to work at the school site in Monmouth for 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be able to achieve high standards with minimal supervision. You will have an eye for detail and a consistent approach to the role.

The ideal candidate will have experience in carpentry and a basic understanding of general building works. This is a vacancy for a 0 hours bank contract on an as and when basis.

As a Maintenance Technician you will undertake regular inspections and audit of buildings, equipment, fixtures and fittings in accordance with planned maintenance schedules. You will undertake the completion of routine maintenance operations and remedial repairs in accordance with planned & reactive maintenance schedules, ensuring work complies with operational standards and statutory regulations.

You will respond to unplanned events, undertake emergency inspections and repairs.

You will also monitor and inspect work carried out by contractors ensuring repairs, installations, refurbishments and other maintenance is carried out satisfactorily.
