The Woodbourne Priory Hospital is currently a 78-bed acute psychiatric hospital for adults and adolescents, based in Edgbaston Birmingham, offering a wide range of care to our varied client base of inpatient, outpatient and day patients. We have unique opportunities as we are in the process of expanding our service delivery for our inpatient services.

Specialising in the management and treatment of mental health problems, the hospital have established an excellent reputation for providing the highest standards of care.

Our highly experienced team of mental health professionals and support staff, which include Consultant Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Family Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers and nurses, deliver personalised treatment programmes and a range of therapies.

Our therapy team enable the people in our care to adapt to any aspect of their life with more independence, confidence and control. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Trainee Systemic Psychotherapist to work at the Woodbourne Clinic Priory Hospital. This Clinic provides a tier 4 CAMHS Inpatient facility. It is made up of 2 Inpatient Units: - Rowan and Mulberry. Each unit is staffed by a Multi- Disciplinary Team (MDT) consisting of: Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Family and Systemic Psychotherapists, Health care Assistances, Nurses, Clinic, Social Workers, and Occupational Therapists.


The post holder should be at an advanced stage of training of an AFT-approved family and systemic therapy course as well as should be working under the supervision of a highly specialist or consultant psychotherapist with an UKCP registration.
