Job Advert - Division Information

Priory Adult Care is the UK’s leading independent provider of specialist adult care services. Our aim is to provide the right support in the right home for all the individuals we accommodate.

With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.

Job Advert Role Description

Are you a caring and creative person who is passionate about making a real difference to someone’s life?

We are currently looking for a Support Worker to provide care and support for individuals at Priory Adult Care’s Woodlands based on the outskirts of Preston. Woodlands is a large detached house, which is home for 4 adults. As a service that provides specialist support to people with learning disabilities and autism we are looking for the right people to make a difference. The 4 people who live with us all require individual support in order to enhance and enjoy their lives and to reach their full potential.  We are located in the Bamber Bridge area of Preston, close to the town centre with easy access to the motorway and local transport links.

Both personal care and participation in activities are key parts of the Support Worker role, so energy, excellent communication and organisational skills are vital.

Previous experience as a Support Worker or Care Assistant would be beneficial, however it is not essential; all we ask is that you have a willingness to learn and the compassion to care for the people we support.

If you are looking for a rewarding career, we would like to hear from you. Currently, the Woodlands is looking for Waking Nights Support Workers, Support Workers to work days and Bank Staff. Woodlands can offer flexible shifts, both full and part-time.

Support Worker benefits include:

  • A competitive salary
  • Enhanced disclosure cost coverage
  • Comprehensive induction and commitment to on-going training
  • 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
  • Online benefits and cashback rewards
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • SMART childcare vouchers
  • SMART pension option
