Life Works is part of the Priory Group and is a private only 18 bedded non-acute short stay residential addiction, eating disorder and behavioural health hospital in Old Woking, Surrey.

Life Works is an adult only service and the CQC recently rated our service as overall "Good" and found our family programme to be "Outstanding"

All treatment is provided from a Grade II listed building and associated Cottage with a 2 acre walled garden.

Job Advert Role Description

Working as part of a highly committed team at Lifeworks, the Assistant Cook is one of the key roles within our team. As Assistant Cook you will put the clients nutritional health and well being at the heart of everything you do. At Lifeworks we pride ourselves on the warmth and support we provide to our clients. We promote independence, dignity and quality of life at all times in a person centred caring and supportive environment.

As Assistant cook you will assist with the preparation and serving of meals to our clients, ensuring all special dietary needs are met and prepare quality food as directed. You will maintain records and control stock rotation, ensure the kitchen and service areas are clean and hygienic at all times.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

•           Experience in the catering services is beneficial although not essential.

•           Possess effective written, verbal and good I.T  skills

•           Possess good judgement, problem solving, and decision making skills

•           Food handling course qualification desirable.
