Priory Hospital Burgess Hill is located in beautiful West Sussex and offers the opportunity to gain experience across many specialist mental health disciplines including Secure Services, a DBT Locked Rehabilitation service, HDU Services and Acute care.

With a CQC rating of GOOD across all 5 Key Lines of Enquiry, you would be working in a forward thinking hospital supporting our patients recovery alongside a highly skilled and dedicated Multi-Disciplinary Team.

 

Job Advert Role Description

We are now looking to appoint a Speciality Doctor to work within our Multi-disciplinary team on our High Dependency Units to deliver our purpose to make a real and lasting difference for everyone we support. You will play a key role in building a culture that supports our values and puts the people we care for at the centre of what we do. As part of the multi-disciplinary team at site and supported by the wider Group teams, you will be accountable for delivery of high quality clinical services for our patients.

 

Responsibilities of the role are as follows:

•Clerking in all new admissions

•Provide medical input to management of inpatients under consultant supervision

•Monitoring and management of physical health issues

•Participating in morning MDT handovers

•Working in collaboration with MDT to monitor day to day progress and review of treatment plans as needed

•Participation in weekly MDT reviews, completion of risk assessment and following up on agreed actions

•Liaison with professionals and completion of discharge summaries in a timely manner.

 

Person Specification

Essential Criteria:

•Current GMC registration with license to practice

•Clinical skills and competencies consistent with experience of at least 2 years in psychiatry

 

Desirable Criteria

•Section 12 approval

•Experience of working in male and female PICU settings

•Membership of Royal College of Psychiatrists
