Job Advert Location Description

The Priory Hospital Woodbourne is an independent hospital, specialising in the management and treatment of a wide range of mental health conditions. The hospital has established an excellent reputation for providing the highest standards of care.

We provide expert treatment for the following services:

•           Eating disorders

•           Child and Adolescent Mental Health

•           Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit

 

Aspen ward is a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) for young males aged 16 to 25 year old. It provides intensive care and support to patients who are at a severely acute stage of their illness, with the aim of managing them intensively to aid quick recovery and subsequent management within the framework of least restrictive practice.

Job Advert Role Description

The specialty doctor will support the consultant psychiatrist and be an active member of the multidisciplinary team in the management of the service users.

 The role will include;

- Clerking and formulation of management plans

- Risk assessment and management

- Physical health care

-Tribunal/psychiatric report writing

-Liaising with the community teams

 The specialty doctor will be expected to be suffiently experienced to work independently and autonomously.

Preference will be given to those with post graduate qualifications.
