We at Priory group are seeking to recruit Support Workers based at our site New Stead House in Redcar.

The Support Worker position is a busy role that provides a high standard of care and support to service users with learning disabilities, autism, mental ill-health and behaviours that may challenge.

It is a challenging yet very rewarding role, and no shift will be the same.

The Job

  • To provide support with all aspects of personal care.
  • Tasks involved with daily living such as maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Support with cooking meals.
  • Participate and initiate activities in and outside of the home.
  • Provide support that will enable the service user to live as independently as possible.
  • Creative and caring approach to build excellent relationships with the service users and families.

Location

Newstead House is a specialist registered service for 17 adults who have Autistim and Learning Difficulties. The service comprises of a main house which has two floors and a further 6 appartments within the grounds.

Hours of work

The hours will be on a rota shift pattern. Rotas will cover 7 days a week 24 hours a day. Shifts will be scheduled in advance. (Part time/ Full Time/ Bank hours available).
