Job Advert Role Description

Priory Education Services working in partnership with NHS Tier 4 Specialist Services have an exciting opportunity for a Support Assistant within Fairhaven Young People’s Unit.

Fairhaven Young People’s Unit is an in-patient mental health care unit designed to meet the needs of young people between the ages of 14 to 18.

You will contribute to the effective implementation of individual programmes by supporting the teaching and learning experiences, which enhance the learning and development of young people. You will assist with the management of the learning environment, ensuring that any behavioural or physical occurrences are addressed promptly. You will assist senior staff by contributing to the development of care and learning plans and contribute to the preparation of reports and update daily records and logs. You will maintain a professional relationship while developing a good rapport with young people.


We are looking for committed and enthusiastic people to join our friendly team, working with a unique group of young people.

Knowledge & Skills

An NVQ2 qualification (or equivalent) which is appropriate to the teaching and learning environment of learners and young adults.
