Mill Garth is a 21 bedded Rehabilitation and Recovery unit which provides care and Treatment for adults with a mental illness or personality disorder.

It is situated in the Meanwood area of Leeds, about 5 miles from the city centre and has excellent transport links.

Job Advert Role Description

We are looking to recruit an Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team, providing high quality therapy services to our service users.  The successful candidate will join a well established, dedicated and fully integrated multi-disciplinary team undertaking occupational therapy sessions, groups, care planning and evaluation for a designated caseload.

Candidates will have excellent group facilitation skills in addition to providing individual interventions as part of the hospital's therapeutic timetable.

Dip COT, BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy together with HCPC registration is required together with previous experience of working with complex and challenging patients within a Mental Healthcare setting implementing a therapeutic approach.

A flexible approach is essential together with good communication and organisational skills. This role will also be involved with the supervision of activity organsiers within the hospital

Candidates must have at least 12 months post qualification experience in a mental health setting.
