Our Children’s Home situated in Ross-On-Wye, Herefordshire is seeking a permanent full-time Support Worker. Grosvenor House is registered to accommodate a maximum of 5 young people of either gender from 14 - 19 years of age. Grosvenor House Children's Home which we believe is a very special home for children and young people where daily living experiences and activities are meaningful and memorable and are designed to meet the needs of individual children in areas that are personal to them. Grosevnor house is one of six homes that feed into the priory Queenswood School.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing day to day care for our young people, supporting them in activities, education and statutory meetings relating to their time in residential care. Working as a team you will ensure the home is kept to a good standard in all aspects of house-keeping.

Our Support Worker roles in Ross-on-Wye offer a salary of up to £15,834 per annum plus £40 nightly sleep in allowance. There is an opportunity for overtime if desired.

Experience of working in a Residential Childcare setting or working with young people with BESD is an advantage. We welcome applications from those with no experience but who are willing to train and learn. All staff undertake relevant training leading to a nationally recognised Level 3 Qualification in Residential Childcare (QCF).

You need to be over 21, have held a driving license for at least three years and have no more than six points on your licence.

Hours

A family is 24/7 and so are we. We use a rota system to ensure the young people in our home get the care they need. As a Support Worker, in our Home you can you should be happy to work a shift rota system that includes working some weekends and bank holidays.

Week 1: Monday & Thursday

Week 2: Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday

Week 3: Tuesday & Friday
