Job Advert Location Description

Cragston Court is a 20 bedded residential care home with nursing. The facility cares for men and women aged 18 years and older, who have enduring mental health needs.

Based in Blakelaw, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, residents are usually referred to us from psychiatric wards, or from the community following a number of re-admissions, or from placements where they haven't made a sustained recovery.

Job Advert Role Description

The post holder will be responsible for leading, managing and supporting an established team to deliver quality care and treatment in a high performing service . The role will work closely with the regional team to ensure continuous improvement and delivery of a safe and therapeutic environment which meets regulatory standards.

 

A strong background of successful home management is essential, Previous experience in a mental health service provider setting is desirable, along with experience and knowledge in supporting people with complex health and medical needs. You should also be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of the key business activities associated with a registered care home. A proven track record of confident relationships with families, professionals, local authorities and managing a service that is closely monitored is highly desirable.

 

The successful applicant will have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of external expectations associated with managing a specialist service. You will be highly organised with excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise your workload. It is also important that you are able to adapt well to change and meet tight deadlines whilst delivering a quality service.

A team player with good energy and a 'we can do' approach to service provision would be an ideal candidate for this post.

You will have experience of managing a team of people and possess the necessary skills to designate work activities to members of the team.

 

This role along with that of the Clinical Lead will form a "dynamic partnership" with both parties' skills in management and clinical issues complimenting one another and providing robust leadership for the staff.
