Job Advert Role Description

Are you a caring and creative person who is passionate about making a real difference to someone’s life?

We are currently looking for a Senior Support Worker to provide 24/7 specialist residential support for individuals at Priory Adult Care’s Aire House in Harrogate.

Aire House is a large Victorian property set over four floors. It is situated on a quiet street close to the Valley Gardens. Within the property, there are large communal areas for people to relax in, and each person is encouraged to personalise their own bedroom. There is a garden area to the rear of the house, with seating which makes it an ideal place for barbecues and activities in the summer months.

At Aire House, we do everything that we can to improve the health and wellbeing of the people we support, and as a team we are focused on building positive outcomes for everyone.

Everyone is encouraged to participate in the process of creating a Person Centered Plan which outlines the level of support required for each individual, as well as clearly depicting their goals and aspirations and what steps are needed to achieve them. Leisure activities are a strong feature of Aire House and everyone is encouraged to discuss their particular interests with staff so we are able to support them to participate whenever possible. People enjoy activities such as swimming, shopping, going out for meals, watching football and rugby matches, going to concerts, socialising in pubs, bowling, going on trips to places of interest and also accessing local day centres.

During the week people attend daytime activities outside of the house. These include music and drum lessons, gardening, arts and crafts, church events, paid employment and evening dance groups.
