Job Advert Location Description

The Ayr Clinic is made up of a well-established 36 bedded low secure hospital, and an 8 bedded specialised step-down facility for men and women with mental illness and/or personality disorder. The Ayr Clinic is situated in the coastal town of Ayr in West Central Scotland.

Our low secure service is configured over three wards, comprising of a 12 bedded male and a 12 bedded female admission ward as well as a 12 bedded mixed gender rehabilitation unit.   

Our specialised female step-down service at the Gatehouse enables patients to continue their recovery journey, to maintain good mental health, promote social inclusion and skills for a sustainable discharge into community living.

Patients are supported by a highly skilled, experienced and trained team of clinicians and healthcare professionals working with patients in an environment of hope, positive regard and empowerment.

The role:  

To maintain a high level of cleanliness through out the whole unit, working with staff and patients to create a safe, healthy and pleasant living and working environment.  To maintain a regular stock of cleaning materials, equipment and linen while adhering to COSHH regulations.
