Job Advert Role Description

Are you a caring and creative person who is passionate about making a real difference to someone’s life?

We are currently looking for two support workers at our site based in the village of East Ardsley on the border with Wakefield and Leeds. Woodhouse cottage is an all male service supporting residents to get back out in the community.

Both personal care and participation in activities are key parts of the Support Worker role, so energy, excellent communication and organisational skills are vital. You will be working with people who are independent, so your role will be empowering them to continue to make their own choices.

Previous experience as a Support Worker or Care Assistant would be beneficial, however it is not essential; all we ask is that you have a willingness to learn and the compassion to care for the people we support.

****Woodhouse cottage can offer full or part time hours and flexible shifts. ****

**Due to a genuine occupational need we can only recruit male applicants, in line with the Equality Act 2010**

Support Worker benefits include:

  • A competitive salary
  • Enhanced disclosure cost coverage
  • Comprehensive induction and commitment to on-going training
  • 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
  • Online benefits and cashback rewards
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • SMART childcare vouchers
  • SMART pension option
