Priory Adult Care is the UK’s leading independent provider of specialist adult care services. Our aim is to provide the right support in the right home for all the individuals we accommodate.

With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.

Job Advert Location Description

Oxen Barn is a residential home for adults aged 18 plus, who have complex needs including autism, severe learning difficulties and associated challenging behaviours.

The home is situated in Leyland near Preston and consists of a detached house within its own grounds and a separate annex. There is an external building consisting of Learning room, sensory room and occupational therapy gym. The accommodation allows adults to both enjoy the advantages of communal living but to also practice independence skills within their own quiet space.

Job Advert Role Description

As Administrator at Oxen Barn your role will be varied. You will be expected to use your communication skills to ensure that the day to day administration is complete. Alongside this your roll will be to process financial records for the site and have excellent payroll skills.

Duties will be as follows

  • Process payroll for monthly and weekly paid staff using the Priory Payroll systems working in conjunction with the Central Payroll Function.
  • Undertake the full remit of recruitment administration in conjunction with the Service Manager and the Central Resourcing Team to ensure that candidates move successfully through the recruitment lifecycle.
  •  Process expenses, orders, raise cheques, deal with suppliers on a regular basis.
  • The post holder will be responsible for petty cash reconciliation and dealing with client monies.
  • The post holder will deal with incoming queries to the service and must have excellent customer service skills.
  •  Undertake preparation for meetings and take minutes at meetings as requested.
  •  Support the Service Manager and wider Service with Administration such as letters, memos, email communications.
  •  Undertake diary management.
  • Any other duties requested by the Service Manager. Provides efficient and effective administrative and secretarial support to the home, including document and report production, telephone enquiries, diary management, payroll input meeting and greeting visitors and other administrative tasks as appropriate.
