Job Advert - Division Information

Priory Adult Care is the UK’s leading independent provider of specialist adult care services. Our aim is to provide the right support in the right home for all the individuals we accommodate.

With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.

Job Advert Location Description

Priory Highfields offers a unique residential provision for those with autism and associated learning disabilities. We have extensive experience of working with young adults with autism and provide support for those who require specialist help to meet their needs.  The service is an eight bedded residential service split over two detached houses and an apartment.

The people we support get involved in a daily activities programme which aims to focus excess energy and attain emotional and physical composure and fitness. We provide learning activities that provide intellectual stimulation, and expressive arts such as music, art and drama that provide opportunities for self-expression and communication supporting the overall goal of community living.

Job Advert Role Description

As a Support Worker you will be a key member of our team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our service users. Both personal care and participation in activities are key tasks for the role, so energy and initiative is vital; experience however is not essential, providing you have a willingness to learn and the compassion and patience needed to support.

Support workers are expected to engage in outdoor and indoor activities with all residents.  This includes, swimming, bike rides, trampolining, college, walking and must have an overall level of fitness with a 'can do' attitude.

What we’d like from you:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Effective organisational capability
  • Great team player
  • Flexibility to respond to the changing needs of those who we support
  • Strong “can do” attitude

What we’d like to give you:

  • A competitive salary
  • Enhanced disclosure cost coverage
  • Comprehensive induction and commitment to ongoing training
  • 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
  • Online benefits and cashback rewards
