Job Advert Location Description

The Priory Woodbourne Hospital is seeking an Administrative/Teaching Assistant to join our team of five staff. We work with secondary-aged young people who have mental health problems and are in-patients in the CAMHS adolescent wards at Woodbourne Priory Hospital. We support young people who are currently unable to access their usual place of education or training. For many this means re-engaging with the learning process for the first time in a long while.

Job Advert Role Description

As an Administrative/Teaching Assistant for The Priory Woodbourne Hospital you will be required to be flexible and well organised, the ability to competently operate MS Office (Word & Excel) is essential. Roles will include ensuring that up to date and accurate information is stored and can be provided or accessed as required, you will update central and local database systems, ensuring accuracy of all data input and ensure the effective operation of delegated administrative processes and procedures. It is estimated that this will constitute 50 percent of the role and the rest will involve working with our young people, supporting teachers in the classroom or in small groups out of the classroom. An interest in supporting the teaching of maths would be an advantage.

We are looking for someone who is committed and enthusiastic to join our friendly team, working with a unique group of young people.

For all roles we require a minimum of two references.  References provided must cover the last 3 years, or you are applying to work within our Children’s Homes we will need to request all references from where you have worked with either Children or Vulnerable Adults.
