Southern Peninsula Services specialises in high quality residential and educational provisions for children between 8 - 18 who may have Learning Difficulities including SEMH and Autism. The safeguarding and wellbeing of our young people who may have experienced challenges in their lives is always paramount; along with encouragement to achieve their full potential.

Southern Peninsula Services currently have an educational setting, Quay View School, rated "Good" by Ofsted and two Childrens Homes; all situated within the Tamar Valley and West Devon localities 

Job Advert Role Description

We are seeking to recruit and Occupational Therapist that has knowledge surrounding sensory processing disorders.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of working with children with complex needs. HPC registration and a BSc in Occupational Therapy (or profession specific qualification) is essential.

Experience of working with children with complex needs is essential. You will have experience of Sensory Processing Disorders and the application of sensory integration their in practice, assessment and clinical observations and you will be able to demonstrate a creative approach to delivering treatment approaches.

The role will have a strategic element, where you will assess, deliver and review therapeutic provision to our young people. It is also expected that you will work with the well being team to deliver and develop training for the teams in the school and children's homes to ensure and consistent and coherent approach is maintained.

The role can be flexible and we are happy to discuss various options such as working on a self-employed basis or flexible hours.

For all roles we require a minimum of two references.  References provided must cover the last 3 years, or you are applying to work within our Children’s Homes we will need to request all references from where you have worked with either Children or Vulnerable Adults.
