Job Advert - Division Information

Knowing that you’re making a difference to people’s lives is rewarding in itself. But our many roles offer much more than that. As well as helping you grow and develop your talent, we want you to feel proud of where you work and what you do.

Job Advert Location Description

Our service is based on the Norfolk/Suffolk border and provides a range of assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and specialist residential services to over 90 adults with a learning disability in a range of different environments suited to their individual needs including medium, low secure and rehabilitation.

In addition to a learning disability, many of our patients have complex needs including forensic histories, mental illness, ASC and Personality Disorders.  Most patients are detained under the Mental Health Act 1983.

Job Advert Role Description

We require a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist to help develop the Male Rehabilitation ward and join our enthusiastic and supportive department to provide a range of assessment formulation, individual and group treatment, working closely with the Multi-disciplinary teams. We use a range of approaches including CBT, CAT and Mindfulness, depending on patient need and staff expertise. However, there is a particular emphasis on Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and the applicant should have a strong interest in working with this approach. Training will be provided where necessary.

In addition, the post holder will play a key part in risk assessment and management and provide staff support training and supervision.

Our service strongly encourages research and CPD.

Applications from Counselling Psychologists with the necessary skills and experience will also be considered, as will those seeking part time or flexible working.
