Job Advert Location Description

Bath Road is a specialist children's home for young people aged 7 to 18 who have complex needs which may include autistic spectrum disorder (ASD). The home is located in the market town of Frome in Somerset, with easy walking access to the local town centre.

The home provides residential provision for up to 52 weeks a year, is a stand alone children’s home, and is also linked to North Hill House and Newbury Manor Schools, both of which are in Frome.

The home’s focus is to promote the development of individual social behaviour, independence and personal skills and offering opportunities to practise these in real life settings. This ensures that our young people develop a positive outlook on life in a safe, warm, welcoming, structured and fun environment.

Job Advert Role Description

We are seeking a part time Support Worker to join our small, friendly team, working with our young people.

Working 15 hours per week over 5 days, you will support our young people as they get ready for school in the mornings, and accompany them to school.

This home offers exciting opportunities for strong, enthusiastic and motivated staff who have experience with young people with challenging, complex and diverse needs, and who preferably have some knowledge of autistic spectrum disorders and Asperger's syndrome. A diploma level 3 in children and young people would be an advantage.

A clean driving licence with at least 3 years driving experience is essential.

For all roles we require a minimum of two references.  References provided must cover the last 3 years, or you are applying to work within our Children’s Homes we will need to request all references from where you have worked with either Children or Vulnerable Adults.
