Troup House School is a specialist day and residential school that has a strong reputation for providing a high standard of education and care to young people between the ages of 8 to 16, who have emotional and social difficulties, including autistic spectrum disorders and challenging behaviour.

We aim to deliver the highest level of education and care according to individual need in a safe, positive and enriching environment in which every student is encouraged to achieve the best possible academic, social and vocational outcomes.

Job Advert Role Description

As the development of our service continues into 2018 so do the opportunities for you to contribute to the care and education of Looked After Children in Scotland within a School Care Accommodation service.

The post requires the cook to provide healthy eating and varied meals that meet the required care standards and contribute to the wellbeing of our 12 Children and Young People. Applicants would have responsibility for ensuring the efficient delivery of all aspects of planning menus, food preparation and cooking. The Cook will also provide meals taking into account any dietary requirements and ensure that the kitchen complies with The Priory Group’s operational standards including Health & Safety, Assured Safe Catering Policies and Guidelines etc.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team and receive training as well as opportunities to obtain qualifications relevant to the role.

Annual Leave Entitlement: 25 days per year plus 8 Public/Bank Holidays

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 10am - 6pm (part time or job share applications welcome)
