Job Advert Location Description

Set within landscaped gardens, the safe and supportive environment of the Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal offers a comprehensive inpatient specialist mental health service for young people and adults. The service is dedicated to providing innovative, high quality care and treatment for service users with challenging and complex needs, in order to enable their recovery and re-engagement with the community.

The Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is a specialist provider of complex mental health services, providing clinical excellence in our eating disorders, adolescent, rehabilitation and PICU services.

We are looking to recruit a permanent and full time Chef to work at The Priory Hospital, Cheadle Royal.

Job Advert Role Description

The main focus of the role is to assist with the provision of a catering service within Cheadle Royal with particular emphasis on the planning, preparation, cooking and serving of meals. As part of the catering team you will ensure that the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards.

All Chefs are required to supervise catering staff ensuring their quality of work. Take full shift responsibility for the catering operation in the absence of the Head Chef, assisting in the research and creation of new menus.

Applicants will have at least two year’s experience of working within a professional kitchen; an NVQ2 or equivalent or qualified by experience in catering together with a basic qualification in food hygiene.

The successful candidate will be required to work 5 over 7 days, shift pattern 10am – 6pm and occasionally 8am – 4pm.

Applicants will hold a current full UK Driving Licence.

Benefits include Annual leave entitlement of 33 days (includes 8 bank/public holidays), with additional leave for long service, a contributory pension.
