The Ayr Clinic is made up of a well-established 36 bedded low secure hospital for men and women, with two annexed specialised transitional step down units, one comprising of 10 beds for men and women and the other an 8 bed service for women. The Ayr Clinic is designed to offer care and treatment to patients with a mental illness and/or personality disorder. The Ayr Clinic is situated in the coastal town of Ayr in West Central Scotland. 

Job Advert Role Description

This post provides an exciting opportunity for an innovative, enthusiastic therapist to join the Occupational Therapy team and gain experience working within secure services.

You must be a Registered Occupational Therapist with valid HCPC Registration and be able to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative.

It is essential that you have effective listening, communication, interpersonal and time management skills along with the ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team. 

As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will manage own specialist caseload, under supervision of senior Occupational Therapist,  using evidence based practice and client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in both hospital and community settings.
