Job Advert Role Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic individual to join our team.  As a qualified Occupational Therapist you will have considerable relevant experience in a mental health setting, preferably within secure environments and work in a recovery focused way. You will have a professional approach to your work – which should be both evidence based and embrace MDT team working, as well as awareness of current legislation influencing occupational therapy practice in a forensic setting.

If successful, you will provide specialist interventions to an identified patient group using resources and facilities both within the hospital and also in the community for those patients with section 17 leave.  You will actively contribute to the on-going development of the service and engage in the regular practice development / CPD / reflective practice meetings.  You will use your experience of group work to assist in the delivery of the treatment group programmes.  You will be involved in the education of students from several universities, and be responsible for the regular formal supervision of junior staff.

For further information or informal discussion, please contact Katie Lunn - Therapy Services Manager on 01904 400500 ext 298.

If you want to be a part of an excellent Occupational Therapy department, with a range of superb facilities and prospects, we look forward to receiving your application.
