Job Advert Location Description

The North London Clinic provides a full care pathway from medium secure, low secure to a locked rehabilitation wing. The full multidisciplinary team works with men who have a diagnosis of mental disorder and associated challenging behavior.

Job Advert Role Description

We are currently looking for Occupational Therapist to join our therapy team. You will be responsible for ensuring provision of an effective and efficient Occupational Therapy service to an allocated group of patient, and contributing to the planning and development of the Occupational Therapy service throughout the hospital.

 

The successful Occupational Therapist should ideally have:

  • Degree in Occupational therapy
  • State Registration (HCPC)
  • Previous experience of working with multidisciplinary service
  • Excellent organisational capability
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proven experience in mental health and knowledge of the Mental health act.
  • Patient centric and commitment to delivering high quality care

 

Applicants will be required to;

  • Provide 1:1 OT assessment
  • Ensure effective an deficient management of junior staff
  • Develop close working relationships with professional clinical colleagues
  • Carrying out risk assessments including potential hazards in the service users environment
  • Attending MDT meeting i.e review, business
  • Reporting and Documenting incidents as required
