Job Advert Location Description

Priory Hospital Bristol offers calming and recovery focused inpatient treatment for up to 85 service users as well as day care and outpatient services. Personalised treatment programmes are delivered by our multidisciplinary team, specialising in the management and treatment of acute and complex mental health problems.

Job Advert Role Description

This role will be responsible for the therapies team allocated to our 10-bed NHS-funded inpatient eating disorders unit.

This involves:

- Direct therapeutic work with a number of the individual patients on the ward

- Facilitating therapeutic groups informed by CBT and DBT

- Line managing a therapeutic team including Integrative Therapists, Social Worker, Dietician, Assistant Psychologist and Trainee Psychologist

- Supporting the work of the Nurses and HCAs, including facilitating a monthly staff reflective group

- Working closely with the Ward Manager and Consultant Psychiatrist to deliver coherent and effective treatment to individual patients, including attendance at Ward Round, CPA meetings and ad hoc team consultations 

- Reporting to the Therapy Services Manager, Senior Management Team and NHS England on key factors related to the therapeutic programme

Applicants must be HCPC registered psychologists.

 

Desirable experience includes:

- Working with eating disorders

- Working in inpatient mental health services

- MDT working and psychological consultation to non-psychology colleagues

- Supervising the work of Assistant Psychologists and Trainee Psychologists

- Line management
