The Priory Hospital Nottingham is a 14 bedded unit which provides inpatient treatment for patient with acute mental health issues.

Job Advert Role Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Support Services Team.

We are looking to appoint a Maintenance Assistant to work Tuesday to Friday 9am - 3.30pm.

The role holder must possess the skills and knowledge in the following areas:-



*  To have a proactive approach in the identification/resolution of defects.

*  Experience of general painting/redecoration works.

*  Awareness of general plumbing including carrying out water temperature checks and plant room checks.

*  Electrical awareness so that you can become familiar with the buildings electrical safe isolation points.

*  Experience of carrying out fire safety checks ensuring all paperwork is completed.

*  Have a basic understanding of what contractors are doing when carrying out planned maintenance tasks.

*  The ability to become familiar with the building layout and access to services.

*  Experience of dealing with COSHH substances and the Health & Safety rules around these substances.

*  Be competent in Manual Handling techniques.

*  Have good IT skills and be able to resolve any local IT issues (connecting PC's/networks & Printers).

*  Hold a full clean driving licence.

*  Good time keeper and good customer service skills.

*  May be required to work alone and follow lone working procedures.

*  Experience of managing contractors whilst on site ensuring they are

    inducted and comply to the sites Health & Safety Arrangements.

*  Undertake any additional duties and responsibilities as instructed by your Line Manager.



*  Arranging Servicing and MoT of Pool Car.

*  Maintaining Gardens & Grounds.
