Addison Court is a purpose-built care home providing a friendly and companionable place to live. Conveniently situated in an easily accessible residential area in the centre of Accrington, the home offers a supportive and safe environment with extensive communal space. Our lounges and dining areas have all been carefully designed to create a homely and comfortable atmosphere. Each bedroom, which has the added benefit of en-suite facilities, is designed to ensure comfort and safety and the friendly and welcoming decor helps residents feel at home. The home also benefits from a tranquil, fully enclosed garden, which offers our residents a relaxing atmosphere and a quiet retreat.

Job Advert Role Description

The work is both interesting and varied. You will support the Clinical Teams who deliver specialist care to our residents, of course. But you will also play a major role in making the lives of our residents as happy and fulfilling as possible – not just by showing real warmth to them and their families, but by continuously looking for ways to engage their interest and enhance their experience every day.

 

The qualities and skills we look for:

  •  Assist qualified staff with implementation of individual residents care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed to facilitate the well being, dignity and treatment of all residents.
  •  Provides practical support and responsive care to residents who require assistance with intimate personal needs such as dressing, bathing and toileting activities and ensuring such activities comply with procedues and the relevant healthcare legislation.
  • Observes and monitors the well being of residents ensuring that any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences are promptly referred to senior staff/ the primary nurse and documented as appropriate.
  • Monitors and allocates the work for Care Assistant
  •  Develops and maintains a good professional relationship with residents, colleagues and visitors responding promptly and courteously to requests and enquiries.
