With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.

Job Advert Location Description

Mather Fold House (formerly part of Craegmoor) is a six bedded residential service in Higher Walton, Lancashire and has been specifically designed to enable adults with autism and other complex needs to live as independently as possible. Mather Fold House can accommodate male and female adults aged 18 years and over, but can also accommodate people who are 17 years and are going through transition from children’s services. Located in the village of Higher Walton which is positioned between Blackburn and Preston, the service is close to the town centre and within walking distance of local amenities. It is also near to major bus routes, train stations and the M6 motorway which links it to major cities such as Manchester and Newcastle.

Job Advert Role Description

As a Senior Support Worker you will be a key member of our team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our service users. Through a creative and caring approach, you will build good relationships with both service users and their families, supporting service users in the planning of goals and in living as independently as possible. Both personal care and participation in activities are key tasks for the role, so energy and initiative is vital; experience however is not essential, providing you have a willingness to learn and the compassion and patience needed to support.
