Job Advert Location Description

The Dene Hospital supports both male and female patients with varying needs in its Medium Secure, Low Secure, HDU and Acute Wards. The Dene was rated Good by the CQC following their recent inspection.

The Dene is set in 11 acres of beautiful Sussex countryside, it has educational, occupational and sporting facilities, including a sports hall, tennis court and gymnasium, along with various communal recreation areas. There is a library, art room and rehab practice kitchen. The site also facilitates and runs recovery college courses


 The Dene hosts a number of staff events throughout the year including an annual Summer BBQ to celebrate staff long service awards. The Dene also has a well attended CPD programme and supports staff in their professional and career development.

Job Advert Role Description

We are seeking a Recruitment Coordinator on a 6 month fixed term contract who will be based at The Dene.



• Enhance the Nurse and Healthcare Assistant recruitment activity for the site including getting to know the culture of the site to enable successful placements of candidates as well as actively assisting with the sites recruitment and retention plan.

•Actively source Nurse candidates through own network and candidate databases.

•Sell the Priory Group and specifically the site to the candidates including benefits, culture, development opportunities.

•Be the main point of contact for all candidates through recruitment and will maintain relationship during employment.

•Will make the verbal offer for the site and will also inform candidates if they are unsuccessful and provide feedback.

•Will undertake telephone screening with every candidate to ensure cultural fit, experience and skills match the site’s needs, arranging and assisting with interviews as appropriate.

•Maintain contact and assist candidates through the Pre-Employment process to ensure minimum numbers of withdrawals and contact new starters for feedback.

•Attend Job Fairs and Recruitment events for the site.

•Uses Priory’s Applicant Tracking System (Harbour) to maintain contact, monitor progress and record relevant information.


What we’d like from you:

•Previous experience of sourcing Nurses directly within a healthcare business or agency

•Demonstrable success in proactively engaging with passive job seekers

•Understanding of digital recruitment solutions and job seeker behaviour

•Fluent in the use of social media & LinkedIn as a recruitment tool

•Ability to build and engage online Nursing communities

•An established network of contacts within the industry

•Credible commercial and business acumen

•Excellent stakeholder & relationship management
