With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.

Hamilton House is a 6 bed autism/learning disability specific residential service, located in Leigh Sinton in Malvern. It is situated in the village, approximately 3 miles from Great Malvern and 4 miles from Worcester city centre. We currently support 5 gentlemen with autism, sensory impairment and learning disabilities.

Job Advert Role Description

Are you a caring and creative person who is passionate about making a real difference to someone’s life?

We are currently looking for a Support Worker to provide care and support for individuals with mental health problems, alongside autism and learning disabilities at Priory Adult Care’s Hamilton House in Leigh Sinton, Worcestershire.

Ideally, you will have experience of supporting people with a learning disability- we have a staff team of 14 support staff- and you will work 2 waking night shifts per week ( every other weekend)  You will be involved in supporting individuals with personal care, and with preparing breakfast. You will need good communication skills, and have good literacy skills as the role involves a degree  of paperwork.

Both personal care and participation in activities are key parts of the Support Worker role, so energy, excellent communication and organisational skills are vital.

Previous experience as a Support Worker or Care Assistant would be beneficial, however it is not essential; all we ask is that you have a willingness to learn and the compassion to care for the people we support.
