Southern Peninsula Services specialises in high quality residential and educational provisions for children between 7-19 who may have Learning Difficulities including SEMH and Autism. The safeguarding and wellbeing of our young people who may have experienced challenges in their lives is always paramount; along with encouragement to achieve their full potential.

Southern Peninsula Services currently have an educational setting, Quay View School, rated "Good" by Ofsted and three Childrens Homes; all situated within the Tamar Valley and West Devon localities

Job Advert Role Description

This home has recently opened and is a provisions for young people aged between 8-18 with Learning Difficulties and Attachment Disorder. We are part of Southern Pennisula Services, which includes Quay View School in Bere Alston and three children's homes situated in local communities in Devon and Cornwall.


We are looking for a Deputy Manager to lead a highly skilled staff team in supporting one of our young people whom has an individualised service within the home to meet his needs.

As a Deputy Manager you will lead a strong team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to the individual. Through a creative and caring approach, you will build good relationships with the individual and key stakeholders and the staff team. There will also be an element of cross-over with the Education Team based in the school and you may occasional be required to assist with classroom or activity-based learning with the young people attending the school. Both personal care and participation in activities are key tasks for the role, so energy and initiative is vital. Experience in working with young people with learning difficulties and complex needs is preferred.
