An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Safeguarding Trainer within the Adult Care Team.

As an expert in safeguarding adults your role as Adult Care Safeguarding Trainer will be to design, deliver and evaluate business critical mandatory learning programmes in line with company policy and procedure and relevant regulatory requirements to ensure that Priory colleagues continue to deliver a lasting difference to all service users.

The post holder will be responsible for completion of own workload and effective time management as well as developing and maintaining effective communication with all colleagues within Priory Adult Care and externally throughout the Adult Social Care sector nationally.

This role will be remote working which will include frequent national travel as required, including overnight stays away from home.  This will be planned ahead in accordance with business need                                                                               

We could like to hear from you if you have:

  • Relevant subject matter qualification(s) along with a nationally recognised teaching / facilitation standard (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrable recent experience in the field of learning and development.
  • Be willing to provide training and development in a variety of mediums including face to face, webinar and video/podcast
  • Proven facilitation skills and ability to flex their style to meet a diverse sector need.
  • Knowledge of approaches to adult learning essential.
  • Knowledge of the regulation and best practice in relation to the safeguarding and protection of vulnerable adults and adult social care experience is essential too. 
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements in all four countries of the UK preferred.
  • Highly IT literate with knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Can be proactive, using initiative and striving for excellence whilst role-modelling the behaviours and values that underpin all People Development output

Priory Academy Programmes

  • Deliver key learning programs and Safeguarding learning to meet regulatory or internal policy/compliance standards ensuring it is fit for purpose and conducive to colleague needs.
  • Deliver Priory Group specific modules on Safeguarding (or learning in other areas) to divisional colleagues whilst being cognisant of their capability and company values and behaviour.
  • Lead the design of divisional Safeguarding learning/training projects (as well as others - e.g. care certificate) to ensure the group requirements are met but follow protocol and regulatory procedures.

Learning  Records

  • Administer related data within the Priory Academy for all delivered programmes to support compliance reporting and a record of achievement/attendance.

Learning Materials & Course Administration

  • Regularly update learning materials, content and facilitation style to meet a dynamic and changing health and social care sector
  • In conjunction with the People Development team, co-ordinate the scheduling of learning to ensure sufficient geographic coverage based on prioritisation and risk

  • Strive to improve processes, suggest new ideas and make recommendation for change and continuous improvement whilst upholding Priory Values & Behaviours
