Job Advert Role Description

The Internal Communications team delivers communications to the 20,000 colleagues that work in Priory’s hospitals, schools, care homes, children’s homes and offices. We’re looking for an energetic senior executive to work with the Head of Internal Communication so that the team can provide more support to the company and the major projects that need to be delivered. You’ll run your own internal communications campaigns to launch new projects, as well as helping on more complex internal comms plans.

Job description

The Senior Internal Communications Executive (Capital and Major Projects) will.

  • Work closely with the Head of Internal Communications to deliver large projects and communications initiatives, including the annual staff awards
  • Plan and deliver your own company-wide campaigns that support key projects
  • Produce regular updates for staff on projects and departmental newsletters
  • Write articles for the intranet, company e-newsletter and staff magazine; managing content from start to finish
  • Measurement of existing channels to suggest improvements
  • Communication and administration of the quarterly staff awards: promotion and measurement of entries to encourage more nominations
  • Liaising with external designers and printers to produce print material

  • Internal communications experience and knowledge of how to write an internal communications plan
  • Project management

  • Good writing skills and able to get to the heart of a story
  • Able to balance competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Comfortable working with stakeholders from across the company, some of whom will be senior managers
  • Attention to detail


  • Experience of managing intranets: uploading content and helping colleagues with queries
  • Experience of communicating to geographically dispersed and offline, frontline workers
  • Basic PhotoShop skills
