Job Advert Location Description

To report staff and resident accidents, incidents and complaints to nurse on duty.

Take lead responsibility for the planning, running, documenting and evaluation of sessions and shifts.

To share knowledge and skills.

Model appropriate behaviour to the residents and the team.

Take responsibility for aspects of work with residents.

Under the direction of the nurse, organise their work to meet the Units needs.

Recognise the need to refer to their line manager.

Attend statutory and mandatory training.

Contribute to clinical and operational meetings.

Feedback observations to team.

Make recordings as required.

Write assessments under the guidance of a clinician.

Plan the organisational aspects of daily programme.

To act as a feedback person to residents.

To participate in the induction of new staff, sharing knowledge through a shadowing programme and teaching by example.

As part of our nursing team you will assist and support the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of patients in the unit and on community trips. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team under the direct supervision of a qualified nurse you will be required to undertake a range of duties involving direct patient contact and interaction.

As a Senior Rehabilitation Assistant you will be working within a team which includes a range of professionals. You will make an effective contribution to providing high quality care within a brain injury rehabilitation setting.

The patient group consists of individuals with an acquired brain injury.

You will work within an identified career development pathway and be expected to complete appropriate competency development portfolios.
