Job Advert Location Description

Priory Lakeside View cares for men and women with mental health needs in both an acute setting and a locked personality disorder treatment and rehabilitation setting.

The hospital has 32 beds comprising of 16 personality disorder rehabilitation beds and 16 acute mental health beds.

Lakeside View’s versatility allows us to manage complex needs in a safe and therapeutic environment, and to support and promote independence.

Job Advert Role Description

As part of our team you will assist and support the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of patients.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be required to undertake a range of duties involving direct patient contact and interaction.

You will make an effective contribution to providing high quality care within a locked rehabilitation service.

The patient group consists of personality disordered individuals and those experiencing enduring mental illnesses. The Psychologist post is based within the personality disorder service.

 

Key duties:

- To lead the DBT service.

- To provide specialist psychological assessment, and offer advice and consultation on patients psychological care to non-psychology colleagues and carers.

- To provide evidence based psychological interventions to patients, both individual and group based.

- To contribute to the MDT approach to care and treatment planning and delivery.

- To contibute to audit and research as required.

- To facilitate reflective practice and engage in CPD.

- To work autonomously and within professional guidelines.

 

Role requirements:

- Registration as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC.

- Chartered Member of the BPS.

- Completion of British Isles Intensive DBT training (Desirable, however, training can be provided by the company if necessary).
